On Saturday February 8th let’s enjoy a scenic driving loop to the City of Maricopa and through the less explored West Valley, where we will enjoy lunch at Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q in Goodyear.
Our four-hour, 150-mile drive will begin at the Porsche Chandler dealership. From there we’ll travel west along AZ-202 and then south on AZ-347 to the City of Maricopa and then AZ-238 west to Gila Bend for our first break.
After break we’ll travel north along Old US Hwy 80 over the Historic Gillespie Dam Bridge, which was built in the 1920s and was once the longest steel bridge in Arizona. Next, we’ll pass by farmland and massive solar power generating stations to the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (where we’ll stop for a group photo shoot).
To finish our day, it’s back east on I-10 to Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q for lunch. After lunch you’ll be on your own to travel home.
