A relaxing weekend getaway to Tubac, AZ with exciting drives, sightseeing, optional golf, and great food.

We’re staying two nights at the historic Tubac Golf Resort & Spa in classic southwestern style casitas. Dinner Friday at the Stables Ranch Grill overlooking the resort golf course.

On Saturday there are several options, including an organized drive, a casual golf tournament, or sightseeing, shopping, and wine tasting on your own. Or just relax and enjoy the resort facilities.

Sunday’s destination is Kitt Peak National Observatory. We’ll start towards the Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge and take very twisty and well-maintained mountain road to Kitt Peak National Observatory to enjoy spectacular views, a one-hour tour of the observatory, and a lunch at the observatory picnic area.
