Taliesin West Tour and Social
October 20 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Join your fellow club members for a special tour and social event at Taliesin West in Scottsdale.
We have arranged for a special private tour for AZPCA members at this National Historic Landmark and icon of the Valley of the Sun since the 1930s. Taliesin West is one of eight Frank Lloyd Wright-designed buildings named collectively by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in July 2019.
The tour is scheduled for Sunday, October 20. We will meet at Taliesin at 4:30 PM, and the knowledgeable guides' presentations will include extras you would not see on a normal tour of Mr. Wright's desert masterpiece. After the tour , we will gather on the Sunset Terrace for an evening reception with appetizers and beverages, including beer, wine, soft drinks, and bottled water. The view of the Valley at sunset should provide an Arizona Highways moment. The total all-inclusive cost per person is $25.
"Wright’s beloved winter home and the bustling headquarters of the Taliesin Fellowship, was established in 1937 and diligently handcrafted over many years into a world unto itself. Deeply connected to the desert from which it was forged, Taliesin West possesses an almost prehistoric grandeur. It was built and maintained almost entirely by Wright and his apprentices, making it among the most personal of the architect’s creations.”
