5/9/2010 - 5/9/2010 4th Annual Ladies Drive
Ladies get ready to take the wheel for a great Sunday drive. Bring a friend or your mate - it's up to you. Take a fun drive through some scenic desert to Canyon Lake for a trip on the Dolly Steamboat. There will be a 1-1/2 hour narrated tour of Arizona’s beautiful Canyon Lake and its breathtaking Sonoran Desert scenery. Cruise the secluded inner waterways of Canyon Lake, which is consistently rated among one of the Best Place to visit in Arizona.

An unforgettable experience awaits you on Canyon Lake when our Mark Twain era sternwheeler takes you back to a simpler time. Weathered canyon walls reflect sunshine from waterways accessible only by boat. Blue herons, bald eagles, turkey vultures and desert bighorn sheep are some of the wildlife you will see around the lake. This awe-inspiring Arizona desert is one of Arizona’s best kept secrets!

Since this is Mother’s Day, we will need to get our reservations in early. Cost is $20pp. Please call 480-827-9144 directly. We will be taking the 12:00 noon boat cruise – that means we need to be there by 11:30 am (1/2 hour earlier) to be on the dock and get our places. You will need to either give them a credit card number or send in a check. http://dollysteamboat.rezgo.com/tour/13257/90-minute-Narrated-Nature-Cruise. Monies are not refundable.

If anyone wants to remain for lunch after the cruise, there is a small restaurant on the premises. http://www.canyonlakerestaurant.com/menu.htm

Or you can continue on 2 miles to Tortilla Flats

For a little side adventure or lunch, there is a place along the way or on the return, Goldfield Ghost Town, that is fun to explore.

We’ll meet at the Starbucks at 16815 E Shea Blvd. in Fountain Hills at 9:30 am, drivers meeting with handouts at 9:45 am, depart promptly at 10:00 am. Have your cars gassed up and ready to go.

9/25/2010 - 9/25/2010 Fall Progressive Dinner - East Valley
Back by popular demand! We're trying to schedule a fun progressive dinner (in the East Valley) for September 2010.

We'll need a home for the appetizers, one for the main course, and one for the dessert. If you would like to volunteer your home for this great event, please contact the Social Committee of Cyn or Jan.

We will be taking all possible places, mapping a route, and letting you know if you end up as one of the final three homes. The main course home must be able to seat 30+ people (we can bring in tables and chairs if you have the room - we've even used large garages). No need to make any food, we'll tell you what to buy and even help you with setup as needed). Just be ready to open your homes to some very nice folks!
